The Fence

Images from Robert Rutoed's series "Right Time Right Place" have been selected for The Fence exhibition at Photoville Photography Festival, New York. The Fence will be up from June 22, 2012 through the month of August.

In celebration of the launch of Photoville, United Photo Industries joined forces with Photo District News and Brooklyn Bridge Park to curate and produce The Fence, the summer-long outdoor photo exhibition that will be revealed on June 22nd. Printed on photographic mesh and measuring more than 1000ft in length, The Fence will be a public photographic installation like no other! The exhibition begins at Pier 1 and continues along the walkway to the uplands of Pier 3.

After its unveiling at Photoville, The Fence will be on display through August 2012, with an expected audience of more than one million visitors.

Photoville is a new Brooklyn-based photo destination - a veritable village of freight containers transformed into temporary exhibition spaces, taking place this summer from June 22 to July 1, 2012. Photoville will feature a feisty mix of exhibitions, lectures, hands-on workshops, nighttime projections, a photo dog run, a camera greenhouse, and a summer beer-garden with food trucks that will create a photography destination like no other.

Brooklyn Bridge Park is a world-class waterfront park with rolling hills, river front promenades, innovative play areas, and stunning views. Located along the Brooklyn waterfront, Brooklyn Bridge Park is bordered by Atlantic Avenue to the south and Jay Street to the north.
